The devotion of Goddess Kushmanda, who symbolizes abundance, brightness, and good health, is reserved for the fourth day of Navratri. Goddess Kushmanda, the fourth incarnation of Goddess Durga. She is therefore regarded as the universe's creator. Up until her light began to radiate in all directions like sunrays, the universe was nothing more than a void filled with darkness.

Name Meaning  

Maa Kushmanda's name signals her main role: Ku means "a little", Ushma means "warmth" or "energy" and Anda means "cosmic egg". 

Dedicated color

She is also known as the "Smiling Goddess" since it is believed that her silent smile helped to spark the formation of the entire universe. She has an affinity to the colour "orange" because she is thought to be the source of all cosmological light and the energy that powers the sun. She is connected to the antiquity of Ayurveda and is thought to be the goddess of elixirs. The colour orange represents strength, wisdom, and peace.

Story
There was initially complete darkness when Lord Vishnu began to create this universe, but as the Goddess known as Maa Kushmanda smiled, a formless light that illuminated the entire cosmos, including galaxies and other planets, spread throughout the area. Since life is impossible somewhere without light, she began by creating the world from nothing.
 

It is also stated that Goddess Kushmanada provided her with the vitality, light, and heat that even the sun receives from her. The ultimate wellspring of everything is this manifestation of Maa Durga, known as Adi Shakti.

Depiction


She is portrayed as having eight hands and riding a lioness, because she possesses eight hands, she was given the name Ashtabhuja Devi.  She is carrying a kamandal, dhanush baan, and kamal in her right hand, and an amrit kalash, a japa mala, a gada, and a chakra in her left.

Significance 

Spiritually inclined people should be aware that Maa Kushmanda is the Goddess of the Anahata Chakra (Heart Chakra), and her colour is green. If you want to please Maa Durga and receive her blessings, you should worship Maa Kushmanda with devotion and dedication. You also need to chant the Durga Saptashati Paath.

Surasampurna Kalasham Rudhiraplutmev ch,
