  On the fifth day of Navratri, also known as Panchami, Skandmata, Durga's fifth manifestation, is worshipped. The devotion of Goddess Kushmanda, who symbolizes abundance, brightness, and good health, is reserved for the fourth day of Navratri. Goddess Kushmanda, the fourth incarnation of Goddess Durga.           The name of the third power of Maa Durga is Chandraghanta. The worship of the third day is of utmost importance in Navratri worship and on this day their deity is worshipped. Name meaning           Her forehead is bedecked with the crescent moon (Hindi: Chandra) resembling the shape of a temple bell (Hindi: ghantaa). Identification           She is known as Chandraghanta Devi because of the crescent-shaped hourmark on her head.  She has three eyes, 10 hands, and she is holding weapons.  She travels on the lion.        On continuing our very series on Navratri about Nav- Durga, here we are with Maa Durga second energy manifestation, who is worshipped on second day of Navratri - Maa Brahmcharini. Excited to know more? Depiction           The second day of Navratri celebrations is dedicated to Mata Brahmacharini, Goddess of Penance. She wears a white saree and holds Kamandal in her left hand and rosary on the does penance or tapasya known as Brahmcharini Maa. Hibiscus and lotus flowers are used as garland for the Goddess.
